SUSAN NEWBURY

I am a Connecticut artist with a background in graphic design and painting. My paintings, drawings and illustrations are instilled 

by the rural landscape, woodland trails, and waterways, and stunning gardens. I simply love being out in nature as it always provides a sense of wonder fresh inspiration and constant resource for me to work from.

I tend to experiment with a variety of materials, substrates and mediums which add to the spontaneity and freshness of each work, allowing for varied and unpredictable results.

Whether creating a brilliant garden painting, a vivid illustration, or the simplest minimalist work, I try to maintain the fundamentals of composition, color and proportion, adding personal

expression to each piece.
